User Interface Using WWW for Photo Image Analysis

This master's thesis deals with the user interface for machine quality assessment of the technical groups of photos. This work is written about photos, graphics editors and their evaluation. The practical part is focused on the design and creation of application with web user interface, which evaluates and compares the quality of photos. Finally is this created application with its user interface tested by users, its benefits and opportunities for further expansion are evaluated.

Analysis of graphics editors

TITLE: Analysis of graphics editors ABSTRACT: The aim of the diploma work is to compare and evaluate mainly free raster and vector editors and viewers (photo file managers) which could be used at the environment of primary and secondary schools. In the opening part of the work there are briefly mentioned real possibilities of using graphics applications at schools. Separate analyses of all programmes are described in following parts. The analyses deal with features of the programmes, hardware requirements and usability. The comparisons should offer enough general information for choosing the correct software. The important part of the work is the research and it's three questionnaire investigations. Their results demonstrate real usage of graphic software among informants from all of the Czech Republic. Use of Open Source platforms in education in the field of Graphic Design

This diploma work is fokused on the opportunities of using the Open Source Programmes in the lessons at secondary vocational schools according to Graphic Design as a branch of study. In the theoretical part are basic terms explained and reachable educational sources and matherials including graphic editor work noticed . There are described the special signs of the Graphic design branch in a context with the secondary vocational school and the goals of education defined inside RVP (Frame Educational Plan). It speaks about the claims, their availability and the chance of their using as a legal area where are needed skills and experiences for students and their work aplication adopted. The practical part is dedicated to the survey of the ways of possible work in graphic editors and opportunities of using alternative graphic editors at each secondary school offering Graphic design as a branch of study. It includes time analysis of the vocational subjects defined in the School Educational Programme, questioner's investigation and interviews with the teachers. The situation in a real practice also with interviews with professionals and exployers are examined there too. Thesis discuss the issues, that occurs during the database design using entity-relationship diagrams, problems with defining relational diagrams based on entity-relationship diagrams and features of automatization of such conversion. Furthermore, the thesis discuss the design and realization of an application for database education support, its parts and features. The main output of the thesis is a graphical software environment, applicable to database teaching, that simplifies creation a design of entity-relationship diagrams. One of the features will be able to generate SQL code, optimized for MSSQL Server 2008. This environment will be implemented as network application, accessible from internet in an internet browser, programmed by using ASP.NET and Silverlight technologies. The application will contain user administration. The application will allow the user to save and load his solutions and generate SQL code based on the diagram. The SQL code defines the structure of a database in MSSQL Server 2008.
